Bay Lake is a 450 acre lake on the east side of the property, east of the Contemporary Resort and north of Wilderness Lodge/Fort Wilderness. The lake is connected to the Seven Seas Lagoon by a water bridge over North World Drive. Guests can rent watercraft and use it on the lake. The water park, River Country, was located on the lake and used water from the lake for its pools[1].

Construction

During construction of the land, they were cleaning out the sediment of the lake when they found pure white sand was at the bottom. The sand was dredged out of the lake to create beaches along Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon.
