Disney Stars and Motor Cars parade features the family of stars joining together in a 25 minute parade put on daily. The show starts next to Star Tours and travels down Hollywood Boulevard and exits near the entrance of the park. Guests are given 'dreams' and allowed to be guest grand marshals in the parade along with a front seat to the parade.

Creation

The parade's musical score was orchestrated by Gordon Goodwin and recorded in Los Angeles. The "Disney Stars and Motor Cars" parade costumes were designed by Douglas Enderle and created at Walt Disney World Creative Costuming.

The parade was retired in March, 2008 replaced by the Block Party Bash imported from Disney's California Adventure.

Parade Sections

This is a list of the different units and sections in the parade[1]:
  • Power Rangers Unit offers five generations of Power Rangers including Time Force, Ninja Storm, Wild Force, Dino Thunder and Space Patrol Delta Power Rangers. They ride in a black roadster with lightning bolts and a giant fan over the trunk.
  • Monsters, Inc. Unit features Sulley and Mike.
  • Toy Story Unit features Buzz Lightyear and Woody on Andy's bed along with Bo Peep, Jessie, Mr. Potato Head and the Green Army Men.
  • Mary Poppins Unit includes Mary Poppins, Bert and the Dancing Penguins as they ride on old-fashioned carousel horses atop the vehicle.
  • The Muppets Unit has Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and Sweetums traveling inside a "floating" car.
  • Star Wars Unit has Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia ride upon their space machine with Darth Vader and R2D2 walking along in the crowds.
  • Mulan Unit feature Mulan riding on a colorful vehicle with Mushu walking alongside the car.
  • Aladdin Unit has Aladdin and Jasmine riding on top of a Genie car as Harem Girls dance along the car.
  • Evil Villains Unit has Hades, Cruella De Vil, Jafar, the Wicked Queen and Captain Hook riding in a black stretch limo.
  • Lilo and Stitch Unit has the two characters riding in a 'woody' adorned with surf boards and palm trees.
  • Mermaid Unit has Ariel and Sebastian 'swimming' through the streets.
  • Playhouse Disney Unit features "Playhouse Disney" friends including Bear, Stanley, Treelo, and P and J Otter.
  • Snow White & Dopey Unit is a tribute to Walt Disney's first Oscar.
  • Grand Marshal Unit is for guests who win the 'dream' to "feel like a star" in the parade.
  • Finale Unit includes Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald and Pluto riding in a 1929 Cadillac along with Alice, White Rabbit, Pinocchio and Geppetto walking beside the car.
